I like the Karma thing with comments. If someone is helpful you can let them know and why. Also can help people who may be too abrupt fine tune their style.

My suggestion would be to create a sub-forum for the i500. Was this forum created for the i9000? or both? But I think a i500 specific sub would definately help.

This is for the SCH-i500 Fascinate.

Some topics/post was somehow copied over from the i9000, but it's okay. The OS are the same  Big Smile

The applaud / smite feature is a feature in SMF (the forum script used here). Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can turn the smite option off and allow people to applaud posts they like. Then there aren't the hurt feelings that go along w/ negative feedback... On some other forums there's a "Thank You" feature that will list members' names when they thank someone for a post - You can probably find a hack for SMF to do that.
