I am downloading the official 2.2 update from Verizon as we speak. I did a manual check for updates and there it was. It was available about 9 PM on 4/20/2011.  |

Yeah its here and dowloaded 3 attempts and it wouldnt install. I wonder why, because Verizon stinks.
I wait all this time for nothing. Should have got the Thunderbolt

Downloaded and installed. Will need to set up my pages tomorrow as those went back to default settings. Wife is installing Froyo on her phone now  |

My South Carolina unrooted phone installed fine. Have to re-setup my menu's. Background is intact. Noticed the apps are resorted alphabetically.
Fun stuff...starting over with a new phone!!!

The wife and I just installed ours this morning too. Nice to see google as a default search option now! AND it will search your contacts and other folders in addition to google on the web. Nice one stop there. I like the newly added settings for turning data transmission off/on as well as the auto-rotate option. I also was able to watch a flash video from the youtube full site. So far so good!
Only down side (as previously mentioned by others here) your page settings return to factory default, and I had to switch back to Android keyboard and turn off that annoying clickety-clack sound when typing.

Mine's downloading right now. Has anybody tried the GPS out yet? Did they get that fixed, or will it still not lock on to a satelite? Hopefully it fixes the swype issues also.

Downloaded the update last night and now that most of my shortcuts are back on my home pages I am good to go. One problem, I can't get to my bookmarks when on the net. The only way to use a bookmark is to attach it to a page and launch from there. But I don't want all of my bookmarks on my home pages. Anyone else have this problem?

I couldn't find bookmarks either & apparently animated gifs still don't animate.

Still no GPS. I was really hoping for that to be fixed, so I didn't have to get a new phone. There's alot of things this update fixed that I really like though. The Swype is no working much better. |

I tried GPS yesterday and on my Fascinate, it works well |

I had no trouble downloading and installing 2.2, but the issue I am having is that the flash player is working anymore. It worked ones right after I installed the update, but since then, even from the same website( the berrics.com) it will no longer work. Anyone else having similar issues?
