Hey Samsung Fascinate users, if you are searching the way to transfer files to Samsung Fascinate’s Memory Card, stop your search and come here to see what we’ve prepared for you:)

There are two ways to transfer files to Samsung Fascinate’s Memory Card, check them below!

Transferring files using the Media Sync USB setting

Step 1. From the Home screen, touch Menu, then Settings, USB Settings.

Step 2. Select USB Mode, then select Media Sync.

Step 3. Attach your Samsung Fascinate to the computer with a USB cable. Your Samsung Fascinate will recognizes the connection and displays Media Sync: connected in the Annunciator Line and Notifications Panel.

Step 4. Transfer files to the memory card. When finished, you can disconnect the USB cable.

Transferring files using the Mass Storage USB setting

Step 1. From the Home screen, touch Menu then select Settings.

Step 2. Touch USB Settings then select USB Mode, then select Mass Storage.

Step 3. Attach your Samsung Fascinate to the computer with a USB cable. Your Samsung Fascinate recognizes the connection and displays USB connected in the Annunciator Line and Notifications Panel.

Step 4. Display the Notifications Panel, then touch USB connected. At the prompt, touch Mount to enable copying of files between your computer and the memory card.

Step 5. At the prompt on the computer, select a transfer method:

• Open device to view files using Windows Explorer. Drag and drop files from the PC to the memory card installed in your Samsung Fascinate.
• Manage the device using Rhapsody.

Step 6. Transfer music files to the memory card. When finished, you can disconnect the USB cable.

This doesn't work on my phone.  Tried everything, still can't copy a pic from the phone to the PC via the USB connection. What gives?

How are you trying to transfer the pics? Can you give us the steps you are taking?

Are you rooted or still on stock?

Not rooted, this is a stock phone, new insurance replacement.

I have tried several variations of the steps above:

USB Settings:  Mass Storage/ Media Player/ Ask on connection (tried all three)

plug  in the USB cable.  Notifications,  "USB Connected", Mount.

And...  nothing happens.   I was getting an F:\ drive  but that disappears after a second or two.

I uninstalled Verizon VCast media mgr and that caused a few error messages on connecting the USB, but then I rebooted and that was cleaned up.

I am just trying to use Windows Explorer to see the files on the phone.   Windows XP.
I downloaded an i500 driver from the Samsung site from a long list of possible drivers.  Should I try a different one?  Nothing in the list matches the code inside the battery compartment.

Thanks,
Erik

That really stinks. The DL09 update is making this a nightmare for some Fascinate users.

You downloaded the I500 drivers so that should be enough. I will try to find the drivers I downloaded and post a link.

One last try.....

Settings > Applications > Development > Turn Debugging ON

Otherwise, I have no other ideas. You are following the directions perfectly.

See this link....

Turned on USB debugging, it appears in the notifications, but still can't see the card from the PC.

Thanks for helping me with this!  I am reading the link now...

Here are the USB drivers for XP. Try to re-install them if you cannot find an answer over on android central...

Still doesn't work, but I installed the Drop Box app as a workaround until something else comes along.  Dropbox works really well!
