go to your brower and type in google.com and save it as a bookmark! from there select the bookmark for google and hold down. A white box pops up and you have to scroll down to where is says set as homepage. now if you exit out and go back in to your browser it should be set to google. This is the only way I know how to do it! Happy

For what its worth, the Opera browser also has easy access to google on the top of the Opera home page.

Havent got the phone yet to try it but it seems alot of ppl are trying to get google set for search engine instead of Bing.
can someone verify this question: As someone has said how to set it, while doing that does it remove or place or hide the Bing search option then?
to the last poster ..you said you changed yours and Bing still there..did u try another way or the way mentioned here?
Something I realy want tot do when i get the phone..but I suppose its not the worst if I cant..
I want Bing gone..and Google to replace it... not just add google..think thats what we all want right?

I read that froyo (Android 2.2) will fix the bing problem, though I'm unsure whether this is valid or not.

Home page and search engine are two different things. You set search engine under advanced settings --> "Set Search Engine".  Home page is set under page content settings ---> "Set home page"

What did the OP mean by "replace Bing"?  Bing is what you get when you use the phone's search  button and AFAIK there's nothing you can do about that (short of rooting etc.)
