won't update

i have repeatedly tried to update and i always get "server unavailable" my wifi is off and i have 4 bars. i understand froyo is not out yet but there was an update released today that i would like to do...any ideas? i have done *228 +1 and *228 +2. still the same. if i can't resolve this issue, does verizon send updates to the phone when they are available to bypass this manual check? very frustrated. hope this doesn't mean i won't be able to get froyo when it finally does come out.

The DL09 update was released today. Make sure wifi is off, then try it now. I've updated 2 Fascinates so far and both updates went just fine.

"server unavailable". this is the message i've always gotten. i guess i just got lucky with one of the un-updatable phones. oh well.

Call your nearest VZW store to see if they can flash the OTA for you. Since yours isn't working, they should be able to do it.
