What is it telling me? Could be an app update. I have had them get stuck up there after updates and I manually clear them out. Have you tried to clear it out? I have tried to figure out what might be updating, can't? And don't know how to clear it other than powering down, then it goes away for about five minutes after you restart. When you bring down the notification panel does it give you option to "clear"? If one or both of the answers are no, hopefully someone on here with more knowledge than I can help. If not i would talk to verizon to fix or swap it.
