I have two queries about using my SGS.

1. When I receive a text, how do I forward it to a friend. On my previous phone I just went Options>Forward>add recipient>send. On the SGS I can't find any options.

2. I have purchased the TV out cable to fit the 4-way Jack socket, and connected to TV but nothing happens, do I have to adjust any settings on the SGS.

Hi There

With regards to forwarding a text a text comes in on your screen click on it and then at the bottom you have the little box at the bottom so click on that and then it gives you the option to forward and then you should be able to forward.  Let me know how you get on with it.

Thanks, I've managed to sus it, I wasn't doing a long enough hold to bring up the options.

I tried a cable to use as TV out, I think it was from a car dvd player or something..

anyway, as you might expect, nothing happened..
Tried again using a cable from a nokia, and again nothing..

Had a look in the settings, as I remembered seeing something regarding TV Out..
found out you have to enable TV Out, and then all worked as it should.
It's right at the bottom of Sound and Display.
also used the other cable, and that worked as well, once TV out was enabled.

I noticed with Tv out enabled, some of the features didn't work, such as zooming...
so remember to disable it when not in use.

Firstly, thank you einstein, for your help, TV out now working perfectly.

The cable that I use is available on Ebay, Item No. 400136001596 at a price of £1.94, it's actually a Nokia part but Samsung and Nokia use the same connections on the jack-socket.

The cable is similar to an audio output lead, i.e. 3.5mm stereo jack to twin phono's
however, the TV out cable has a 4 way 3.5mm jack, and 3 phono's (red, white and yellow)

just search ebay for nokia tv out...  I found well over a hundred, some with 99p buy it now, with free postage !

  cable connect on TV

  connect by allshare.

you need special TV I think.. I have naver tried it.. but it works fine with desk top.
