Start-up and shut-down leader

Spend some time reading THIS, THIS, THIS and THIS.

Then download and install a Root Explorer, Root Manager or something like that from Android Market.

Using those, delete the files (not folder).....

1 ) in \System\Media\ - delete bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg. These are the bootup animation screens.

2 ) in \System\Media\Video\Shutdown\ - delete all the .png and a .cfg. These are the shutdown screens.

3 ) in \System\Etc\ - delete PowerOn.wav. This is the bootup sound.

and

4 ) in \System\Media\Audio\ui\ - delete shutdown.ogg. This is the shutdown sound.

To replace branded Fascinate startup, shutdown animations and sounds to the original unbranded ones, extract this ATTACHEMENT and replace as below:

1 ) in \System\Media\ - replace bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg. These are the bootup animation screens.

2 ) in \System\Media\Video\Shutdown\ - replace all the .png and a .cfg. These are the shutdown screens.

3 ) in \System\Etc\ - replace PowerOn.wav. This is the bootup sound.

and

4 ) in \System\Media\Audio\ui\ - replace shutdown.ogg. This is the shutdown sound.

I found that, even after updating to a newer firmware, our SingTel branded startup & shutdown will revert back to SingTel. So, you'll have to replace everything again.
