We just got the update to 2.2. I doubt anything else is coming soon.

Just looked on my phone and there was an update.  Maybe it will stop my phone from freezing.  Have had to do 3 battery pulls in 2 weeks because it is freezing up!

I had the "black screen of death" problem is that what you are referring to?  It used to get resolved by the battery method but about 2 weeks ago that was not always successful.  Long story short after about 30 minutes on the phone with tech support they sent me a refurb as part of my warranty.  Even though I could not get screen back to life was able to use Odin to put the phone back to stock rom before sending it back to vzn.  Have had the "new" phone for over a week now and have not had to do a battery reboot yet - knock on wood.

If you problem is similar to mine its likely not software.  After the original tech bumped me up one level that tech seemed like they knew exactly my issue as if she had been there done that many times.  Good luck!

If you use the settings/software/new path, there is a software update from EDO1 to EDO4. It worked fine on my fascinate but on my wife's it was slow and I thought it was stuck. I hit the back button.....   Shocked ....MISTAKE!!! I now know what a bricked phone looks like (took it in to Verizon and a new one is being shipped to me today. Worse thing is my wife has to start at level 1 on Angry Birds).

I cannot even update my phone everytime I try it says server is unavailable, try back later?? I also have to reboot my phone constantly by pulling the battery and when it boots back up it says system proccessor not responding wait or foreclose and it sometimes locks up on that screen and I have to re-boot again....ugh!

It 'is used to provide a method to solve the battery, but about 2 weeks ago, which is not always successful. In short, after about 30 minutes on the phone tech support they sent me a restructuring as part of my warranty.

We just saw in my phone and there was no update. Maybe the phone stops freezing. I had to pull the battery for two weeks for three stops!
