Hi everybody,

2 nights ago night i put the phone into sleep mode on 00:20 , in the morning at 06:20 the battery dropped from %58 to %38...
Yesterday night I did the same, but the battery dropped from %86 to %84...
I mean the battery leaks faster when it is around %20-60..

I use 2G by the way...

So have we had any response from Samsung regarding why the battery loses power overnight with the phone powered off?

I find this quite worrying, as either the battery is leaking, or the phone isn't really off. Either way it's not good.

How many other people are seeing this?

I've noticed a slight battery drain increase from this phone from my past, but I expected it with a larger/brighter screen & such.  my phone comes off the charger at 5:45am & doesn't get back on it till sometime between 11/11:30pm.  While at work I pretty much only txt & use very little net maybe a hotmail/gmail email check here or there.  Though in all honesty haven't really surf'd the net alot on it as of yet other then mail.

Anyhow I can go the day at work until I get home around 4pm & have 3/4's or slightly less  battery full still with averaging about 500-1000 txt's (total sent/received) in that time.  Checking for msg's by lighting up the screen, playing with apps etc.  Also use the phone for about 10 mins (calling) in the morning & on my way home from work.

When I get home thus far have had slightly more useage while home & usually by the time I hook it to the charger I'd got about 1/4 or just slightly more left.  Though the other night I did little txt'ing & had about half battery that night as I didn't use it much when I got home b/c I was doing other things.

But as far as I'm concerned the battery life seems about on par with what I'd expect from such a device.  I'd like a laptop, get a high end gaming laptop & it's battery life will suck compared to a general purpose one.

beo I'd say return it for another b/c that seems excessive & like a serious battery and/or phone issue.  It shouldn't burn through the battery like that if you aren't running anything or using it for calls.

Try reducing your display Brightness to the minimum.

After one month of use, I have made all kinds of trials in order to preserve battery power.

It appears that the big consumers are :

1. Live screens
2. Downloads
3. 3 G
4. Internet connection

I don't know about you, but the back of my phone gets pretty warm when I stay online for a while... ?

On the other hands, listening to music use very little power. So does text messaging or e-mail reading (not connected).
