Problem - dropped calls and not able to get through

HI   I actually tested gripping as shown in the video, covering the bottom protruded part with hands, and i noticed the the 5 white bars of signal can drop to all grey (no white bars)..

Does anyone has this problem of dropped calls suddenly in the middle of conversation, or even difficult to call into the Samsung Fascinate from another phone, saying the network is  unavailable? Sometimes I would need to call 3-4 times to get through into the GalaxyS.   I am using Singtel from Singapore.
 
The problem with this kind of issue is that the service provider blames the Samsung, and Samsung blames Singtel.

I have this problem.

My wife has had problems phoning me, and today I've been in a supermarket where I could get no signal but my wifes nokia 5800 had full signal.

Probably will send my phone back this week.
