...I noticed an extreme lag on my phone since the Froyo update, and narrowed it down to the feeds and up-dates widget. Once I removed it from home pages, the phone has been fine...has any one else had a similar experience, or is this just on my Fascinate?
Thanx,
Joe

Ive had the exact same problem with that widget, and I have found multiple other people on various forums who have had the same issue.  On mine, seems to only occur when I have facebook connected to that widget.  If I have something else like myspace connected to it, it doesn't cause a problem. Unfortunately I have not found any solution other than disconnecting the facebook feed to the widget. Im hoping a future update will fix it, but who knows.

Only the Lord knows why the Feeds and Update widget lags the home screen.  But this has always been the case even during éclair (Android 2.1).  I'm curious to know if this is also the case with other Galaxy S phones (the Captivate, Epic 4G, Vibrant, Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S international Version) and similar phones (Samsung Infuse 4G, Samsung Droid Charge).

I think it has something to do with laggy Touchwiz UI 3.0

I never had this problem with Android 2.1 on my Fascinate. It didn't start showing up until I "upgraded" to 2.2

The phone probably has too much built system cache and apps which are not really optimized for froyo OTA.  Transfer and save your data from your sd card somewhere and factory reset your phone.  Make sure you don't leave out any traces in your SD Card.  This will fix your problem.
