HI all, Like most of you when Kies popped up with a notification that there was a firmware upgrade for my Fascinate I immediately downloaded and installed it, I guess a newbie mistake. When completed I found that all my apps vanished and my settings went back to out of the box state. Though annoying I spent much of Saturday morning trying to get my phone back to where I had it before the update. The issue now though is that when I log into the market I find that certain apps are not visible to me when I try to download them, I get an error message "file not found". This is troublesome as there are a few apps that i had I can no longer install, including paid apps, nor am I able to install certain new apps.
I read on another site that the market will no longer display protected content after the upgrade. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know of a solution to the problem.

Where are you located? The Android Market is currently having issues, primarily in Germany, as Google has confirmed. They are working on it.

So if you're located in Germany, chances are your problems are not related to the firmware upgrade.

i also had a firmware upgrade. all my previous apps were gone, but i'm able to reinstall from the market..no error what so ever. i'm in Singapore.

Hi thank you for the reply. I am located in Canada and am with Bell Canada as my provider.

I tested this on my friends Vibrant and she was having the exact same issues. Last night I tried to install Pandora and I get the same error message from the app store after I click the install button, "file not found"

Thanks for the help with this issue, it has been resolved. It seems the problem was not the phone or the firmware but merely my own impatience. I have learned that with any firmware upgrade it takes a few days for the market to pickup the changes that have taken place with that particular phone and till then some apps may not be available.
