How do i transfer my google contacts to my phone ?

I'm not sure if this is the same problem I was having, but when I was trying to get my group's set up for texting so I could just click on family, or friends, & send the text to everybody in that group.  I had to go save another phone# to the phone, instead of google.  Just try creating a contact, and save it to your phone, instead of google when it asks where to save it to.  You can link them together, if you want, so there's only 1 contact.  Just give it the same name.  Then go try it, and see if that works.
