Help with the recent update and softkey glitch....

I'm no programmer or crazed hacker (If i were I wouldn't be posting for help haha)


Having said that, this most recent update to our phones (the one fixing the emergency call feature) has totally messed up my phone. Its glitchy IE: soft keys randomly coming on, random vibrations, random softkey backlight shut off times, the soft keys now come on EVERY TIME I TOUCH THE SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!

I use my phone to read Ebooks in the evenings and with the Softkeys lighting up every time I touch the screen its blinding me, and really,,, really irritating me. If there is a way to downgrade this phone back to PRE-update kernel\rom I would greatly appreciate any help and any pointers on how to accomplish this. Or on how to uninstall the update that was OTA this past week would be great.

Unfortunately no at this time my fascinate isn't rooted, its on the Verizon carrier. I have been having bad luck finding a root 'how to' for Verizons Fascinate that works.
