Background Data & Auto-sync - what exactly do these do? Do I need the Background data on at all times? I know Auto-sync syncs your contacts to your calendar, facebook stuff, etc but is that all it does? Does it have anything to do with email? And the Background data - does it need to be on, what will turning it off do (besides save battery life). When I turned off the Background data, I got a notification message from Yahoo telling me that it needed to be turned back on. Why? I don't want my Yahoo running at all times - it's my wife's email and she only checks it randomly on the phone. She'd like to be able to check it but not have it automatically checking it at all times. What effects will it cause if I turn off the Background data during the day, when I'm using the phone for other purposes? I'd like to just turn it on at night when I charge the phone, will turning it off make the phone run faster?
Thanks!
