Hi there,
yesterday i bought the Fascinate and it's a great phone/handheld/whatever.  Happy
But with my old phone i could add a timestamp to the pictures i took. I can't find it on my Fascinate.
Is it not possible or am i overlooking something?

Kind regards,
André

When I upload my photos to my computer and set folder to display "details" the date and time is shown against each file name.

I have not changed any settings in the phone since I opened the box.

That's not what i mean.  Happy Here is an example of a picture with a timestamp:

Aha, you want an "in-band" timestamp printed on the photo. Most people prefer the modern "out-of-band" timestamps saved in the EXIF data so as not to take away from the actual picture contents.

So exactly where do you want the timestamp to be seen? If you'd be satisfied with having it when viewing the photos on the PC, you could use Irfanview to add them after transferring your photos to the PC, see here:

http://en.irfanview-forum.de/vb/showthread.php?416-Printing-timestamp

If, however, you want the timestamps to be seen on your phone (and being able to bring them up in the picture details doesn't satisfy you), that's a bit harder. Maybe there's an app in the Android market for this already, but I couldn't find one in a quick search. I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to develop yourself, if you have some programming skills...

Thanx Robert.  Happy I post the pictures directely on my weblog so they don't pass through the computer. It's not such a big deal if it's not possible but it would have been nice. I'll keep an eye on the app market maybe someone develops an app. :-)

Thanx for your help!

You might want to check if that weblog possibly has a feature to retrieve the timestamp from the EXIF information of the uploaded pictures and display it...

Good idea. It's a Wordpress powered weblog so there is a chance that someone made a plugin to add time-stamps.  Happy
Thanx again!  Big Smile
