About using the music player in the folders

When I play songs from my file structure, I get a different player than when I normally start the music player :S It looks pretty much the same, but it doesn't automatically play the next song (I keep pressing the next button) and there are some options missing, one of them being the Equalizer. I'm a complete music freak, and really like to play songs straight from my folders and the friggin equalizer.

So is there:
a) a way to play songs in the way they are put in a folder from the default player, or
b) a way to get the default player working when playing directly from the folders?
