Verizon hasn't said any word regarding froyo release yet.  All I know is it's going through test right now.

I know I am getting tired of waiting for froyo, but in all reality, it probably isn't all that big of a deal anyway. I am anxious for the flash though, as we all will be able to do more with our phone than we can now. Everyone is talking about the MR2 that was released, and I haven't seen any sign of it yet. I keep checking and nothing. Anyway, my build is only DI01, so not sure I will get the one that was just released on Monday. I  haven't had any problems with my gps that I know of, as it worked when I used it. I know others have said they are having problems with theirs. Anyway, if we are going to get updates, then we should get froyo, as I don't know what the hold up is. It is hard to say whose fault it is, and I am not going to put blame since I don't know, but if waiting means we will get a stable update, then I am all for it. I have seen different things on it and not sure if Samsung is still testing it or Verizon is tweaking it. Whichever the case may be, it  shouldn't be taking this long to get it. We have been promised more than once and it never happened, so I guess we will get it when we get it.   Sticking out tongue

It looks like Samsung is still "testing" Froyo for Fascinate:

http://erictric.com/2011/01/03/samsung-still-testing-android-2-2-froyo-update-for-samsung-galaxy-s-smartphone/

Following is supposed to be an offical tweet from Samsung USA “We want Galaxy S owners to have simple/reliable upgrade. We r running tests due to complexity/unique functionality.â€

Other things I have read this weekend indicate that the delay may be due to "functionality issues" with some of the bloatware Verizon has loaded onto the phone. After they are through I suspect Verizon will want to test the update as well. It may be quite a while before we see Froyo.
