I text a lot of people and when I receive a text from one of my contacts, I get a +1 added to his 10 digit number (almost like I am dialing/texting internationally). My current working solution, which is not ideal, is I have to delete the thread and start a new message with him. Again, when he texts back, I need to delete the thread, retype his phone number (which is autosaved as 10 digits) and on and on it goes. Given he is the only one I am having this texting issue with I think it could also be an issue with his phone (iphone)
What I've tried:
1. I have tried deleting his contact from my contact book (deleting his google contact and phone contact) and this does not work
I've spoken with Verizon/Droid "experts" and they say the new software release (mid-December) might address this.
