Swype question

It seems like when I'm texting, I keep getting the tip indicator popping up.  It's telling me that I can erase a word by highlighting it, and hitting the swype key.  My tip indicator is not on.  Does anybody know how to turn this off?  I'm sick of seeing it every time I try and send a message.  Also, after I delete a word, for some reason, it shows up again the next day.  Anybody else have this problem?  My last problem is when I reply to a message, it always starts with a lower case letter.  I have to hit the back button to get it to do the auto cap.
