Having trouble opening/viewing PDF files. Consistently get error message "The document cannot be opened because it is corrupted or damaged." I get this message when opening a pdf attachment in email or when saving pdf to SD card and opening from that location. Using K-9 mail and Adobe Reader app from app store. Have tried other pdf utilities and get same message. All latest phone updates installed. What gives?

I have no idea about this at all. You might want to call a VZW tech to see if they can problem solve it for you.

Sorry for being no help at all. I'm not having this issue on my Fascinate...

Hi,
I was having similar issues and changed my browser through the droid market and downloaded Dolphin HD browser, when i go in this way it allows me to view PDF and Excel files via yahoo of which i could not originally do.

Hope this helps.

That's really odd, the office app (I forget what it is called, I think it is called ThinkOffice) should open it by default.  If that doesn't work try getting Adobe Reader from the Android Market.

I too am not having this problem

Hi I have office and pdf viewer, which opens any other PDF, but this issue only relates to yahoo and downloading pdf and excel files whilst online, for some reason this is a common issue between droid phones and yahoo, of which the new browser has resolved.

Regards,
Peter.

GO market and download  "adobe reader" apps.
then you can read pdf files thru that apps.

I have been trying to "Open" as opposed to "Download Complete Message"
It appears that just trying to "Open" was the problem.
