Looks like we’ve got the first high-res picture of Galaxy S2 and some info on Samsung’s Galaxy S successor. The first blurry image was spotted by Moveplayer but a bit of ‘Googling’ leads us to this – a high-resolution picture of Samsung Galaxy S II.

The image as well as some info was posted on Daum who also confirms that the new Galaxy S II is just 8.49mm thick as compared to original Galaxy S’ 9.9mm. Also, the phone has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GHz dual-core CPU, Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread), HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and weighs just 116g.

Verizon may be coming out with their own variant of the SGS II very soon.  It is going to be called the Stealth V.  It makes use of a 4.3" Super AMOLED plus screen, a dual-core "Orion" processor and a Front Facing Camera.

Specs look very similar to the original concept of the Samsung Galaxy S 2.  One thing that irks me though is that I hear that some Galaxy S 2 devices will be using the Nvidia Tegra Dual Core processor as oppossed to the Orion Processor made by Samsung.

I did some research and found that the Nvidia Tegra processor is currently better than the Orion processor.

I think I will be keeping my Fascinate for a while (maybe until a Samsung Galaxy S 3 or 4 Variant comes out).

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is a super fast handset thanks to the 1.2Ghz processor that it incorporates. Not only is this one of the largest available in a mobile handset, but it also is a dual core unit, enabling effortless multi tasking and generally quicker response in all areas. The processor is joined by a hefty 1Ghz of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity, ideal for storing all manner of material including multiple audio files or snaps and footage captured by the phone itself. The camera is a cut above the standard found on most smartphones, and offers a high quality 8 mega pixel image. The camera is accompanied by an LED flash to make shots in poor lighting much more effective. Video footage is also great, with the S2 being one of only a handful of models able to capture 1080P, the highest resolution HD footage possible.
